Telling the world why the Pashtuns need to hear the truth
The Progress with the Pashtun People
There were estimated to be about 11 million Pashtun in Afghanistan and 25 million in Pakistan in the early 21st century. They comprise about 60 tribes of varying size and importance, each of which occupies a particular territory. In Afghanistan, the Pashtun are the predominant ethnic group or main tribe.
In an interesting twist, while the majority of Pashtuns live in Pakistan, they are an ethnic minority in a population of about 170 million, while the minority of Pashtuns who live in Afghanistan constitute the ethnic majority in that much smaller country.
Few evangelicals and few who identify as Christians. Little, if any, history of Christianity.
